Fire Clean-up and Restoration

The horrible wild fires in California bring to mind part of our life in the claims department; clean-up and restoration.
Most of our insurance companies suggest that the insureds find their own clean-up company. When the insured asks us to recommend someone, we generally give the names of at least three restoration companies. Some restoration companies charge more than the insurance companies are willing to pay. It is for this reason that the insured chooses the restoration company.
